From Durango, CO: Take Highway 160 East 14.3 Miles to Bayfield, CO Turn left on County Road 501 Take CR 501 North 19.3 Miles to Vallecito Lake Turn left on Middle Mountain Road From Pagosa Springs, CO: Take Highway 160 West 40.4 miles to Bayfield Turn right on County Road 501 Take CR 501 North 19.3 Miles to Vallecito Lake Turn left on Middle Mountain Road

Detailed Description

Middle Mountain Road dead-ends at the border for the Wiminuche Wilderness area. There is a parking lot where motor vehicles must be left.
